1. Overview

Scoutense is an evidence and counterparty-intelligence workspace designed to help individuals and businesses understand counterparties before transacting. This policy describes how we collect, handle, and store data when you use Scoutense.

2. Information You Provide

When you create cases, you may submit case inputs including text notes, links, public profiles, and uploaded screenshots or documents (“Case Material”). You should only submit material that you are lawful and authorized to possess and analyze.

3. How Scoutense Processes Data

Scoutense extracts factual clues from your provided case material and queries public web sources to identify corroborating or conflicting information. Bounded search queries and text snippets are processed via external AI and search infrastructure providers (such as search indexing APIs and language models) solely to complete the requested research and analysis runs.

4. Confidentiality & Advertising

Your cases, uploaded clues, generated findings, and reports remain private to your authenticated account. We do not sell your personal data or case materials to third parties, nor do we use case contents for advertising profiling. Reports are only shared if you deliberately export or distribute them.

5. Case Deletion & Data Retention

You have full control over your cases. When you delete a case within the Scoutense interface, the case record, associated clues, discovered sources, generated findings, synthesized reports, and uploaded file artifacts in storage are permanently removed from active databases.

6. Security Limitations

We enforce industry-standard security protections including encrypted transmissions, session tokens, and Row-Level Security (RLS) database policies. However, no internet-based software or transmission method is completely invulnerable, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

7. Product Principles

“Scoutense is allowed to know less than an LLM. It is not allowed to pretend to know more than the evidence.”
