Terms of Service

Last updated: October 2026

1. Acceptance & Lawful Use

By creating an account or using Scoutense, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Acceptable Use Policy. You agree to use Scoutense exclusively for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable local, national, and international regulations.

2. User Responsibility for Case Materials

You are solely responsible for all clues, documents, links, and content uploaded to Scoutense. You represent that you have all necessary rights, licenses, or authorizations to submit such material and that your submission does not infringe on third-party rights or violate confidentiality agreements.

3. Nature of Research Findings — No Guarantees

Scoutense produces structured findings by synthesizing user-provided materials with publicly available web sources. Public web information may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or misleading.

Scoutense outputs are evidence-indexed research aids, NOT guarantees of character, safety, trustworthiness, or identity. Findings must be independently verified before entering into critical agreements or transactions.

4. No Regulated Advice or Consumer Reporting

Scoutense is NOT a consumer reporting agency. Scoutense does not provide legal, financial, investment, employment eligibility, or credit evaluation advice. You must not use Scoutense findings as a factor in determining eligibility for consumer credit, employment, housing, or insurance where prohibited by law.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree never to use Scoutense for stalking, harassment, doxxing, unlawful surveillance, or non-consensual tracking of individuals. Scoutense does not provide facial recognition or reverse face search services. Violating these prohibitions will result in immediate account termination.

6. Service Availability & Termination

Scoutense is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse system capacity, or pose security or operational risks.

7. Methodological Invariant

“Scoutense is allowed to know less than an LLM. It is not allowed to pretend to know more than the evidence.”
